Rebecca trained in Professional Stage Management specialising in Technical Stage Management at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. She developed technical and stage management skills acquired from her previous 15 years of work within the theatre industry.
As a freelance Production and Technical Services provider Rebecca has a flexible and positive attitude to the ever changing nature of the industry. Before she undertook her training she spent 3 years at Filton High School as their Performing Arts Technician concentrating equally on the music and drama departments.
During her continuing time with the Theatre Royal Bath as a casual technician, Rebecca has had the opportunity to work on The eggs’ new construction and the Ustinov’s refurbishment and has frequently engineered and designed lighting for many Sunday jazz concerts, stand-up comics, assisted with the Youth Theatre in many capacities including, on the job training for participants and worked on their site specific productions such as ‘Storm On The Lawn’ based at Prior Park. She managed to find work throughout all departments within all the theatre spaces including running the bar before the Ustinov refurbishment!
Rebecca has an in-depth knowledge of Health and Safety in the work place thanks to her Law degree from UWE where she particularly focused on theatre and events, as well as having her own current Fire Marshall qualification and a just expired First Aid badge. She is currently Bristol and BANES CRB checked and has a full clean driving licence with access to her own vehicle.
She has memorably driven Postman Pats Van and Fireman Sam’s Fire Engine! whilst working with Children's Showtime across UK venues.
